Rare banknotes donated to charity shop sell for more than £85,000
Rare banknotes donated to a British Heart Foundation shop in Edinburgh were sold at auction for more than £85,000. Volunteers spotted the collection's potential value and passed it to specialist auctioneers Noonans, who waived their commission. The proceeds will support the charity's heart and circulatory disease research.
