George Woollands, a 19-year-old from Devizes, impressed staff during his two-year apprenticeship at ACORN Community Bank, which provides affordable loans and savings to people on low incomes. He has now been offered a permanent full-time role, taking on marketing, social media and work placement duties along the way.
Two 88-year-olds, Barbara Thompson and Fred Jenkins, found love again at their retirement village in Sutton Coldfield after losing their spouses. They now train together, play games, dance, garden side by side and have enjoyed their first holiday together.
