A new scheme in Gwynedd now lets young people meet Department for Work and Pensions staff at the GISDA charity centre in Caernarfon, a less formal setting than a Jobcentre. Officials say seven young people have already started jobs since the service began three weeks ago.
Two 88-year-olds, Barbara Thompson and Fred Jenkins, found love again at their retirement village in Sutton Coldfield after losing their spouses. They now train together, play games, dance, garden side by side and have enjoyed their first holiday together.
