Plans to convert 400-year-old almshouses in Penmynydd, Anglesey, into three affordable two-bedroom homes for young people have received planning permission. The historic listed buildings will be renovated, keeping their character, and let at affordable rents with support to help residents save towards buying a home.
Two 88-year-olds, Barbara Thompson and Fred Jenkins, found love again at their retirement village in Sutton Coldfield after losing their spouses. They now train together, play games, dance, garden side by side and have enjoyed their first holiday together.
