Jo Malone donates £100k for cancer-detecting 'nose'
Perfume entrepreneur Jo Malone has donated £100,000 to Medical Detection Dogs in Milton Keynes to speed up work on the SniffSpace electronic nose, which is modelled on dogs' scent-detection abilities. The charity plans to install the device in the coming months so its dogs can sniff more samples and generate more robust data. Scientists hope it could help the NHS identify cancer in patients earlier.
