Delboy, a French bulldog cross who had spent nearly two years in the care of the RSPCA in Lancashire, has finally been rehomed. His new owners visited the centre ten times to build a bond with him, and he is now settling in with walks, treats and plenty of affection.
A rider took his pony Sparky to a McDonald's drive-thru in Wychbold, Worcestershire, and staff were left surprised but served them with nuggets, fries and apple slices for the pony. The pair then enjoyed a picnic in Hanbury Woods on the way home, and the video of the trip was widely enjoyed online.
A golden eagle chick named Beaky Junior has become the first to fledge from a nest on a managed grouse moor in southern Scotland. Breeding golden eagles in the region have recovered to a record level of more than 50 pairs, following a project that moved birds from the Highlands from 2018. Local gamekeepers and landowners were praised for their support, and they named the chick.
