A company called Fibrus has raised more than £7,800 for Women's Aid through a series of challenges. The money will support the charity's work with women and children affected by domestic abuse.

A 14-year-old girl from Bramhall has thanked BBC Children in Need for helping fund a school holiday club for students with learning difficulties run by the Seashell Trust in Stockport. Grace, who has cerebral palsy, says the sessions give her activities like bikes, drumming and swimming, and her mother says she goes off happy and excited.
Pupils at Mitchell House Special School in east Belfast wrote and recorded a song called My Voice to show that people communicate in different ways. The song was written by a class of 11 to 13 year olds, who hope to raise awareness of alternative communication such as Makaton and eye gaze. The school has also earned an accreditation for its communication work.
