Oscar Hartland, who played Neil the Baby in Gavin and Stacey, is building a rock band with bandmates and hopes to create a new modern sound for Wales. He has released a new single, Wild Bull, and has been recording at Rockfield studios in Monmouth.
Cardiff-based singer Cate McHugh has won The Voice UK, mentored by Sir Tom Jones. She won a £50,000 prize and a recording contract, and her first single has been released.
A new live music venue called The Backroom has opened inside Wakefield's Hop and Cobble pub to give emerging musicians a purpose-built space to perform.
