Greater Manchester's Metrolink tram services are due to return to normal on Monday after two weeks of upgrade works at several locations. The improvements should let trams move more quickly and reliably, and a replaced section of track is expected to last another 30 years. Some minor city centre route changes will stay in place until Wednesday.

A couple from Brighton have been cleaning dirty road signs across Sussex and filming their work for followers on social media. They say the hobby is therapeutic and brings them praise from people in the community, and residents have started suggesting signs for them to clean.
Jo Oluwo founded Black Core Kent in Ashford in 2024 to help people who had moved from London connect with each other. The community interest company has held events celebrating Black British music and culture, including a film screening, and has expanded into Folkestone, Hythe and other parts of south-east Kent.
