Much-loved lollipop lady retires after 37 years
Barbara Gould has retired after 37 years as a lollipop lady, helping children cross safely at schools in Rochdale and Middleton. Children and families spoke warmly of her smile, care and daily kindness, and a councillor who was once helped by her described a lasting legacy. She is now looking forward to spending more time with her family.
