Marine videographer Rhys Morgan has spotted a fin whale twice off the Pembrokeshire coast in recent weeks, seeing three of them feeding while out fishing with a friend. He returned in late October and saw the whales again, and he hopes to get back out to sea when the weather allows.
Conservationist Sacha Dench welcomed new laws banning the sale of lead ammunition, which harms wildlife. A coalition called the Lead Ammunition Collective, which campaigned for the change, received the RSPB Medal, the charity's highest accolade.
Dogs took to the water at the art deco Jubilee Pool in Penzance during an annual dog day held before the pool's winter deep clean. Most dogs jumped in quickly, while others needed some encouragement from their owners.
A cinema and leisure complex in Preston, Lancashire, has put six Dutch spotted sheep on its grass-topped roof to keep the lawn trimmed. The sheep come from Myerscough College and are kept safe by a fence and have a shelter and water, and the college hopes the females will have lambs in the spring.
