Friends are supporting the family of five-year-old Emilio from Ramsgate, who is being treated for a rare cancer at The Royal Marsden. A fundraising campaign set up by a friend has already raised more than £4,700 towards its £7,000 target, helping with travel, accommodation and household costs.
A 101-year-old care home resident in the New Forest received hundreds of birthday cards from schools, groups, businesses and individuals. The cards included a greeting from a mayor in Ohio, sent after a mix-up over which Lyndhurst the care home had contacted.
