Staffordshire synth-pop band Deco are celebrating after their second album Dreamhouse reached number one on the independent album breakers chart. Lead singer Max Kendall said the hard work had been worth it, and the band are now focused on their current tour.
Twin brothers Bleddyn and Owain Thomas, aged 23 and from Ceredigion, have made the chair for the Welsh Young Farmers' Clubs Eisteddfod. Their chair was designed around the sea and countryside of Ceredigion, with oak and a shepherd's crook shape, and will be presented at the event in November.
A new mural of the late actor Sir Patrick Stewart has been painted on a shop wall in Mirfield, his West Yorkshire hometown, as a tribute by local artist Steve Braun. His nieces visited the artwork and warmly praised how it captures him, and said the public's support since his death has been touching.
A blue plaque now honours Dr Eliza Walker Dunbar, Bristol's first woman doctor, at the site of her former hospital in Berkeley Square. The University of Bristol installed it alongside a replica of her brass doctor's name plate, following student research into her life.
