Thirteen-year-old Charlie Condy from Ballygawley in County Tyrone has been chosen to represent Team Ireland at the Rotax World Grand Finals in Portugal. His family supports him as coach and mechanic, and he has been fitting in practice sessions around school.
Moor Allerton Hall Primary School in Leeds has introduced a version of padel played without walls, after a week-long trial run by School Padel. More than 400 pupils took part, and teachers are now being trained to keep the sport going in PE lessons and after-school clubs.
